What is a floater frame?
A discreet slim wooden frame for a modern and refined touch. The frame has a width of 5mm and a distance between the frame and the picture of 5mm.
What is the difference between Canvas, Recycled Canvas & Natural Canvas?
The difference lies in the thickness of the material and the material used. Recycled Canvas is made from recycled PET water bottles. The color of the motif looks a little more intense on this material in direct comparison to classic canvas. With Natural Canvas, the pre-treatment of the canvas is dispensed with, which makes the print look a little warmer overall.
The canvas picture looks wavy and not exciting. What to do?
A warped stretcher frame is not an indication of inferior quality, but merely the result of changing environmental influences. There are 4 wedges on the back, which you can carefully readjust with a rubber mallet. Hammer the wedges diagonally deeper into the corners, this will increase the tension again. In the case of larger canvas prints, it may happen that the wedges have to be readjusted after shipping. Important: Do not immediately drive the wedge in as far as it will go. This could result in undesirable deformations in the opposite direction.
Is there a way to prevent a stretcher frame from warping in the first place?
Unfortunately not - wood works! You can also further stabilize straight stretcher frames with the help of a wire or wooden cross. However, as long as you do not anchor your stretcher frame to the wall with all 4 corners, there is always the possibility that the wooden frames will deform. This does not constitute a quality defect or reason for return.
What is the difference between wrapped canvas and framed canvas?
A wrapped canvas has the printed image wrapped around the edges of the stretcher frame, creating a seamless look. A framed canvas includes an additional frame (like a floater frame) for added structure and style.
